If you have to travel somewhere during Rahu-Kaal period, then one should leave at that time by eating curd, betel, jiggery or some sweets etc. When they left for the journey from home, they went back 4 steps and then left for the journey.
If you have to do some auspicious work during Rahu-Kaal, then start the work only after reciting Hanuman Chalisa at that time.
